Community Crossroads Center launching campaign initiative

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The Community Crossroads Center is asking for your help by donating a few items that are desperately needed this time of year as the weather gets warmer.

The Community Crossroads Center is a homeless shelter located at 207 Manhattan Ave in Greenville, NC. They assist the homeless and those at risk of homelessness by providing safe housing and assisting them in developing a long-term plan that leads to self-sufficiency.

After 35 years of service, the Center relies heavily on donations from members of the community. As the weather starts to heat up, the Center is launching a campaign, asking community members to donate water and towels. Although they are asking for at least two towels and a 12-24 case of water from each donation, you can do more.

Then they ask you to challenge four other people to do the same. Their names will be entered into a drawing for prizes at the end of June, July, and August. One person in the group will keep up with the names. The center is available to pick up the donations or you can bring them to the address listed above.

Let us think of these families while they are in the heat during the daytime.
