Committed Hearts nonprofit hosts senior prom

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Committed Hearts is a nonprofit organization that assists community members 55 years of age or older of Halifax, Northampton, and Warren counties with their prescription medication and copayments at their doctor’s offices and specialist offices.

Committed Hearts is based out of Halifax County. The founder of the nonprofit is Marquita Banks. Banks lives in Greenville and is originally from Weldon, NC. She created this nonprofit over 10 years ago with the desire to help seniors after praying to God for a way to help the community where she grew up.

This July 27th the senior prom will be held at the Bishop W. J. Welch Community Center/Pavilion located at 101 Cherry St. Gaston, NC 27832.

The event is free admission and will last from 2-6 p.m.

Appetizers and mocktails will served.
