Carteret County Board of Elections hosting free educational seminar

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) – Monday night an Eastern Carolina and state board of elections are hosting a free class on the upcoming election process.

The Carteret County Board of Elections and the North Carolina State Board of Elections are hosting an educational seminar to review changes for recent changes in the state’s voting law.

Representatives from NCSBE will provide an overview of changes like photo identification requirements, absentee ballot procedures, and early voting opportunities.

Officials say those attending will also learn about accessing voter registration resources, understanding their voting rights, and navigating the ballot on election day.

Tonight’s seminar will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.

The event is free and open to the public.
