Busy Greenville intersection reopens after two vehicle crash

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A traffic crash shut down a busy Greenville intersection with one vehicle on its top.

The crash at Arlington Boulevard and Fire Tower Road happened around 3:50 p.m. in front of the Sheetz.

An SUV landed on its top with airbags deployed, while the other vehicle had heavy damage to the passenger side.

Police say the car was making a left onto Fire Tower Road and turned in front of an SUV that was going through the intersection on Arlington Boulevard.

Both drivers were taken to ECU Health Medical Center and police said they did not appear to have serious injuries.

Charges are pending against the driver of the car, according to police.

The intersection has since reopened to all traffic.
