Beaufort Hotel up for best boutique hotel award again

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WITN) – The Beaufort Hotel is among several boutique hotels throughout the country in the running for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for “best boutique hotel” in America.

In 2023 and 2022, the Beaufort Hotel was named the number 1 boutique hotel in the country, beating hotels in Charleston, SC, and Nashville, Tennessee.

Now, they are up to win for the third year in a row!

“To be recognized by USA Today’s trusted team of local travel experts and receive validation from its readers is incredibly rewarding, and a testament to our dedicated team who strive to provide impeccable service to our guests every day,” says Peter Grills, General Manager of the Beaufort Hotel.

An initial list of 20 nominees has been chosen by a combination of editors from USA Today, A nationwide vote will determine the top 10 winners.

Hotel management highlights location and uniqueness as some of the qualities that set it apart, saying since opening in 2019, the hotel has received many awards.

A few include: the Traveler’s Choice Award from for the last five years, in 2021, it was named “Property of the Year” by their management company, Concord Hospitality, 34° North Restaurant, has received the Diners’ Choice award from for five years in a row, and this year, the restaurant received the 2023 Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator.

Other hotels from North Carolina on the 2023 list are The Everett Hotel in Bryson City, The Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem, and the Old Edwards Inn & Spa in Highlands.
