PARIS, FRANCE (WITN) – North Carolina is being well-represented on the basketball court in Paris with numerous athletes from the Tar Heel state.

After a shaky couple of exhibitions leading into the games, it’s been so far so good for USA basketball in Paris.

Knocking off Serbia and South Sudan, North Carolina is well represented on Team USA. Davidson’s Steph Curry and Duke’s Jayson Tatum highlight the North Carolinians on this year’s squad. However, it was High Point Christian’s Bam Adebayo who led the team in scoring in Wednesday’s victory.

“Ah man, you know being able to rep North Carolina, you know being able to understand we got a lot of talent that’s come out of North Carolina so being one of those ones is great for us to have the opportunity to showcase that at a world level,” said Adebayo.

Adebayo and Team USA will close out group play against Puerto Rico on Saturday.
