Ayden Fire/Rescue called to weekend home fire

AYDEN, N.C. (WITN) – Early Sunday morning Eastern Carolina fire crews were called to a home fire.

Ayden Fire/Rescue says firefighters were called at 3:47 a.m. to a home on fire on Ormond Street.

Officials say all people inside the home were able to get out safely.

Firefighters say flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from the back of the home.

Adyen Fire/Rescue says the fire was under control in minutes and cleared the scene around 7:30 a.m.
