Ayden car crash leaves one dead, two injured

AYDEN, N.C. (WITN) – One person is dead and two others are injured following a car crash here in the east.

According to Sergeant B.A. Taylor with The North Carolina Highway Patrol, around 9 p.m. Saturday, officials went to a deadly three-car collision on Highway 11 near the N.C. 102 intersection.

Taylor says one of the cars caught fire as a result of the crash. According to Taylor, one male victim died, while the other two victims were transported to ECU Health Medical Center to treat their injuries.

The Highway Patrol is now investigating the crash, according to Taylor.
