NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – A New Bern man is in jail after police say he broke into the New Bern Fire-Rescue training center on Glenburnie Drive several times.
According to police, 34-year-old Michael Parrish is responsible for a rash of break-ins at the training center in December and January.
When police searched Parrish’s home on North Second Avenue, they found what they said were countless fire and rescue items that had been stolen from the training center.
Police say that Parrish was arrested and charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, four counts of felony breaking and entering a vehicle with theft, and one count of larceny after breaking and entering. Police say that more charges are possible.
Parrish is currently being held in the Craven County Jail under no bond.
