Amber Alert for Duplin County child canceled

The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office says Callie Holloman was found safe.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – A sheriff’s office in the east canceled an amber alert for an 8-year-old child Wednesday morning just before 9:15 a.m.

The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office says Callie Holloman was found safe.

The sheriff’s office says the 8-year-old was taken by her mother Rhonda Holloman, 38, after her father Charlie Holloman was given temporary legal and physical custody of Callie.

The amber alert was sent out just before 4:30 a.m.

Callie, 8, is believed to be with Rhonda, according to the Duplin County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Rhonda showed up at Charlie’s home with her boyfriend Micheal Holmes and took Callie.

They said she was last seen at a home at 215 Joe Johnson Road in Warsaw before being found.
