GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office has canceled the Amber Alert for three children identified as 11-year-old Tramiyus La’Trell McNair, 14-year-old Orlando Qwantrel McNair, Jr., and 9-year-old Jayden Lawrence Braddy.
On the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office social media page, an update was posted saying that the children have been found safely.
Investigators say they believe Orlando Qwantrel McNair, Sr., is responsible. He is described as a 34-year-old Black male. He is 5′4″, 145 lbs. with black black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie.
On Saturday night, Edgecombe deputies investigated a homicide on Davistown-Mercer Road. They found a man shot to death. The man’s girlfriend witnessed the shooting and told deputies that McNair, Sr., was responsible. Investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Tramiyus La’Trell McNair is a Black male, approximately 5′0″ and 100 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an unknown color t-shirt with dark gray and black basketball shorts.
Orlando Qwantrel McNair, Jr., is a Black male, approximately 5′1″ and 120 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing red checkered pajama pants.
Jayden Lawrence Braddy is a Black male, approximately 4′8″ and 90 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with faded white on the front and black jogger sweatpants.
Investigators say they believe McNair, Sr., took the children from 825 Davistown Mercer Rd. in Pinetops. They might have been heading toward Raleigh in a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer with a North Carolina license plate number THP5737.
