4 p.m. Primary Election turnout in Pitt County down significantly compared to 2020

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – There is significantly less interest in this year’s primary election compared to four years ago based on voting numbers in Pitt County.

4 p.m. voter turnout numbers updated by the Pitt County Board of Elections show that there have been 8,965 people who have cast their vote this election day.

That’s compared to 12,793 in 2020 and 14,507 in 2016.

The next update for turnout numbers will take place when polls close at 7:30 p.m.
