4 dead and 2 injured after crashes on NC Highway 903 in Pitt Co.

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Troopers say 4 people were killed and 2 sent to the hospital after collisions on a highway in Pitt County on Saturday.

According to the NC State Highway Patrol, at around 11:48 pm, Suhziah Spruill was traveling north on NC 903 at a high rate of speed and traveled off the road to the right and collided into a guardrail.

They say Spruill had five unrestrained passengers in the vehicle at the time of the collision, all five passengers were ejected from the vehicle and three of the passengers died at the scene the two surviving passengers were transported to ECU Health with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say after the collision Spruill jumped into the roadway to stop traffic and was struck by Kia Forte and Spruill passed away at the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the Kia Forte that Spruill jumped in front will not be charged.

The victims have been identified as:

Deceased: Nykwon Coppedge of Snow Hill, NC 22 years old (Passenger)

Deceased: Zykhia Connor of Grifton, NC 18 years old (Passenger)

Deceased: Amoni Spruill of Farmville, NC 20 years old (Passenger)

Spruill’s Two passengers transported to ECU Health / Greenville, NC

Injured: Chasity Kittrell of Snow Hill NC, 20 years old (Passenger)

Injured: Aliana Spruill of Snow Hill, 21 years old (Passenger)
