2nd annual Trey Kuhn Memorial Golf Tournament

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A second annual golf tournament kicked off today to remember Trey Kuhn and raise money for scholarships at a college here in the east.

Trey Kuhn was a Pitt County resident going to school for construction at Pitt Community College. In March of 2021, Kuhn passed away from Glioblastoma, a cancer of the brain.

The Trey Kuhn Memorial Golf tournament had a huge turnout at the Greenville Country Club today where locals came together to honor and remember Kuhn.

His family, local vendors, construction companies, and friends came together to not only remember him but raise money for scholarships he would have been interested in while in school.

“Trey was in the construction program at PCC and this is a great way to remember him in his honor,” Co-chair, Michael Moore said.

Last year the tournament was able to raise around $50,000 for three different scholarships and this year they are hoping to beat that number.

The Inner Banks Home Builders Association put the event on and ABC Supplier is the grand sponsor of the event.
